This site is maintained and updated by the Willie Thrower All-Pro Memorial Committee with the hope that it will become the foremost source of information on Willie Thrower, the NFL's first black quarterback and football trailblazer.

The Willie Thrower All-Pro Memorial Committee was established with the intention of establishing two memorial scolarships in Mr. Thrower's name, and to fund and construct a memorial statue in downtown New Kensington, Pennsylvania, Willie Thrower's hometown.

This site will serve two purposes: to be a definitive source of all information regarding Willie Thrower, and to be the primary site for the activities of the Willie Thrower All-Pro Memorial Committee. This site will be continuously updated and be added to.
