Thanks to generous donations, government grants, and the hard work of many people, this statue, memorializing Willie Thrower in a parklet in Downtown New Kensington, PA will be dedicated later this fall.

Designed and sculpted by Stephen Paulovich, New Kensington native and Valley High School graduate, the bronze statue will stand 6 feet tall and is being built at cost ($28500), which is less than half of what the usual cost of such a statue would be ($58000).

The statue will be a permanent and long-standing tribute to Willie "The Pro' Thrower.

UPDATE: The statue is expected to be erected in April, and will be dedicated during the first home football game for Valley High. Check back here for more details!
